About
A home built around the people inside it.
Brookwood House is a licensed adult family home in Bellevue, owned and operated by Gabriela and Remus since 2006.
Our Story
Run by the same family since 2006.
Gabriela and Remus opened Brookwood House in 2006 and have run it together ever since.
Gabriela is a licensed family nurse practitioner (ARNP) and is part of the daily care of every resident. She has spent her career beside older adults, through the early questions, the difficult transitions, and the quietest moments.
Brookwood was built to offer what is often missing in larger settings: a place that feels like a home, run by people who stay.
Our belief is simple: every resident deserves personalized, high-quality care, dignity, and respect throughout their golden years.

Principles
What we stand for.
Three things that shape every day at Brookwood House.
Dignity, by default.
Every routine, every meal, every conversation begins with the resident's preferences, not ours.
Small, on purpose.
We are licensed for a small number of residents. That is how we keep care personal.
Clinically led, warmly run.
A nurse practitioner sets the standard, and a team that stays carries it out.

The Home
A residence that happens to provide care.
Open living spaces, restaurant-style dining, a comfortable lounge, and a garden patio.
Walk-in showers, grab bars, and a wander-guard system are integrated quietly. Present when needed, invisible otherwise.

A refuge, minutes from the city.
We are in a quiet neighborhood, close to downtown Bellevue, Overlake Hospital, shopping, and Kelsey Creek Park.
Only three minutes to I-405 and downtown Bellevue, yet a refuge from the hustle of the big city.
